The Interreg project North Sea Wrecks officially started on November 1st of 2018. Periplus is one of the nine partners in this project. The aim is to come up with solutions for chemical pollution around wrecks and UXOs in the North Sea and to develop tools that can support stakeholders in managing the possible risks involved. Periplus takes this amazing and unique challenge up with great enthusiasm.
Periplus will develop the data model for the web application in which the research results can be viewed and a risk analysis can be done around the areas of attention that will be defined. Information about the project can be found at https://northsearegion.eu/nsw
The four-year project is funded by the North Sea Region of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union. The Province of Noord Holland acts as a co-financier for Periplus.
