Periplus Group initially developed GRIDit, our cloud-based geodata platform, to support our team of hydrographers, GIS specialists, maritime geologists and maritime archeologists. Being developed by subsea data specialists to support subsea operations, it was always focussed on the solving the practical challenges of working in the subsea environment.
Since the cloud-based version of GRIDit was launched in 2022, it has become a popular choice for subsea operators in northwest Europe. Wind farm operators are particularly drawn to its functionality developed to store JUV footprints and monitor the condition of scour protection and subsea cables.
In recent months we have onboarded wind farms from EnBW (Germany) and Otary (Belgium).
As well as appreciating the software itself, many of our clients value the wrap-around subsea data expertise offered by the Periplus team. EnBW commented: "Periplus' expertise in GIS and hydrography is valuable, especially given our operations in the German market, where precise geospatial data is essential. We appreciate Periplus' technical proficiency and commitment, which contribute significantly to the successful management and operation of our offshore wind farms."
