Reburial Amelandleiding 2011
During the summer of 2011, Periplus provided assistance to the reburial project of the Amelandleiding in The Wadden Sea. The Amelandleiding is a gas pipeline exploited by Gasunie. During one of the frequently performed monitoring surveys it appeared that the pipeline was not buried everywhere at its target depth anymore. Such is caused by the naturally dynamic nature of the area. Gasunie subsequently contracted Acta Marine with its MS Coastal Explorer to rebury the pipeline. Periplus worked on board from July till October on behalf of Gasunie in order to provide the relevant Hydrographical expertise.
